June 21, 2010 We are pleased to announce the addition of new patterns based on the artwork of Lori Ann Corelis. Lori Ann is the maker of rabbits, bears, and other characters. Our designs are of rug patterns and not three-dimensional pieces. Please visit Lori Anns web site, Spotted Hare Designs, at http://web.mac.com/lorianncorelis/Lori_Ann/Welcome.htmlThe small rug pictures on this page are links to a larger image. Click on a photo to see it enlarged, then use your back button to return here. This was the Benjy display at the From Our Hands show in Columbus, Ohio, November 2004. Here you see the hooked rug, original bear and the needle punch in the background. This show is wonderful and for more information for the next show, contact Kathy Wright at www.fromourhands.com
Abraham second from left was hooked by Betty Bennett, Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Betty use a super plaid wool for the britches and then repeated it in the border area. This rug is a Christmas gift for her sister. Very lucky sister! Abraham, 29 X 23, hooked by Judy Harrison, PA. The plaid that Judy used to hook the overalls is super. Looks just like a plaid without so much work!!!! The background and border just set the bear off - very neat.
Baker Bunny hooked by Dea Olson is a knockout in the red background with the light bunny. Just lots of fun.
The Benjy Bear on the right was hooked by Dea Olson, Topeka, Kansas. Just a fun rug and a fun bear. Dea hooked this for a grandchild. Lucky grandchild! Thanks Dea.
Cheri Reid, Fairfax Station, Virginia, hooked the rug second from the left. She hooked it with me during the Ligonier Rug Camp. I love the way Cheri hooked the pads on his feet and the areas around his nose and eyes. Again, just a great rug. The rug third from the left is super. I love the background - very wonderful. The order of the border colors is perfect. This rug was hooked by Eileen White, Gambier, Ohio. Eileen is Lori Ann's mom and a super nice lady. Lanna Omlor, Lori Ann's sister, and Eileen were in my "Sheep of Many Coats" class in Columbus. Both treasures. Susan Jack, Duluth, Georgia, hooked the fourth Christmas Red. Susan likes bears that are more true to bear colors, hence the coloration on this one. Her mom calls him "Ready Teddy" because he looks like he is ready for Christmas. I absolutely love her red, white and green hat! Thanks Susan. Judy Harrison of Delmont, Pennsylvania, hooked the fifth Christmas Red, 22 X 25. A wonderful rug to hook and enjoy. The red bears I think are my favorite. But then I love all bears. Soooooooooo any color bear will work and just plain have fun. Judy's red and green compliments make this a super rug.
